During my 21-day mantra journey with Deva Premal and Miten, we came to this mantra on Day 14. I really love this one, I love the energy of it, of what it opens, of what it radiates.

The meaning of this mantra is:

“May all beings be happy, be joyful, be at peace.

May all thoughts, words, actions contribute to that happiness.”

We are pure energy, we radiate throughout our body the energy we are, the thoughts we have in our minds, …

I like the image that Deva uses: we are lighthouses, we shine, we broadcast what we feel inside.

Therefor it is so important that we are aware of how and what we think, of how we speak and what we say and of what actions we take.

We are always vibrating on a certain frequency, and we attract all that vibrates on that same frequency.

Speaking with kindness, thinking lovely thoughts, acting from a warm heart, puts us on a higher vibrational frequency, and how we then feel, aligns with that frequency, and we radiate this energy towards the world around us.

It’s what dr. Masaru Emoto* showed with his water experiment.

Water which was being yelled at, water which people had talked to in ugly, aggressive words, showed a very erratic pattern when frozen.

Water which had only been talked to in a lovely voice, which had only been spoken to in a very positive way, showed a beautiful, regular ice pattern when frozen. So, our words, our thoughts, our actions really radiate an energy.

The same theory was experimented** upon with different kinds of music and how the growth and general condition of plants was influenced by it.

Soft, friendly classical music had a very beneficial effect on the growth and condition of plants, unlike very aggressive hard rock music which plants did not react to in a positive way. The plants which had ‘listened’ to, had been exposed to the sound waves, to the vibrations, of classical music had bigger leaves, stronger stems and were overall in a better condition. Plants that had ‘heard’ the rock music, showed signs of stress and wilted more often.

The vibrations of classical music are viewed as softer and more harmoniously, and are also considered to have a beneficial effect on the photosynthesis which makes the plants show a deeper green color. The frequency of the vibrations is considered more similar to the ones in nature and makes the plants absorb their ‘food’ more effectively and are, hence, in a better condition.

While, on the other hand, the hard tones, the faster rhythm, the strong base tones of rock music vibrate on a different frequency and this can lead to the destruction of the delicate cell structures of the plants, which results in wilting and in showing a worse condition.

Returning to our human way of communicating, it is very important how we communicate, on what frequency we vibrate, hence what we radiate to our surroundings.

Don Miguel Ruiz has written*** about the importance of thinking, of talking, positively and lovingly, and his work is an invitation to us all to start living by the agreements he’s been writing about, so that we can create a more loving and more peaceful world.

His agreements are:

1) Be impeccable with your words.

2) Don’t take things personally.

3) Don’t make assumptions.

4) Always do your best.

5) Be skeptical and listen for the truth.

Rebel against the creation of your own ‘virtual reality’.

Rebel against the lies in your head.

Listen with an open mind, without the interference of your ego. Believe in the best in everyone.

Look for the positive in all that comes your way.

And knowing all this, is why I like this mantra so much.

It reminds us, invites us, to be the positive beacon in the world.

Whenever you speak, whatever you think about, try to be as positive, as warm, as supportive as possible.

Honor nature, respect animals, harm no one.

Make sure your speech is impeccable, out loud and in your head.

We so underestimate the power of the energy we radiate, the power of attracting**** what we send out.

My invitation to you all this week is:

Meditate on looking for the positive.

Remind yourself of the positive influence you have whenever you think, whenever you speak.

Chant this mantra so that your positive message, your positive thoughts can be broadcasted even further into the world.

Be the beacon of light, radiate love.
