I really love this poem by Gaboury. In fact, it’s an elaboration of what Gandhi said with his quote: “Be the change you want to see in the world. “, which is my absolute favorite quote.

The older I get, the more I try to live by this philosophy. I try to, no longer fight against what I feel is wrong, but instead, live according to what I believe is right.

The more I learned about energy, about the law of attraction*, the more I realized that fighting, being angry, condemning, judging**, …. is not the way to make change happen.

Like the poem says:

If you want the darkness to disappear, switch on the light.

If you want ‘the wrong’ to go away, do right by yourself.

If you want hate and fear to go away, show love and tenderness yourself.

It’s by removing yourself from the West, that you’ll get closer to the East.

It’s by living more deeply, that your fear for death will disappear.

It’s by living more consciously, more aware of what really matters, that you’ll free yourself from a superficial, trivial life.

As you can’t find a solution on the same vibrational frequency of the problem,

you will not create the life you long for by living on the frequency of all that you do not want.

That is why I invite you all to make the change yourself.

Imagine how you would like the world to look like.

Imagine what you want more of.

Imagine how you like to be treated.

Imagine health.

Imagine love.

Imagine peace.

Imagine a clean planet.

Imagine compassion.

Imagine solidarity.

Imagine all the things helping to create this beautiful place.

Imagine this dream we all long for.

Feel how it will feel once all those things become a reality.

Doing this will bring you on this higher vibrational frequency.

Living that way, makes you feel that way, and when you feel good, it’s a lot easier to do good.

We all know that once we fall back onto the vibration of irritation, of anger, of judging, of fear, …it becomes hard to see things in a positive light.

The moment you feel yourself slipping back, visualize your ideal world again, call up your positive thoughts, and by doing that, you’ll feel the change in your mood.

Once you’re off that lower vibration again, things will start to look up, things will start to work out again and you’ll feel yourself perking up again.

That’s why you always have to be very aware of how you think and of how you speak.

Train*** yourself to switch back to that higher frequency every time you feel low. People of my generation will still remember the radios we had in our youth. You had to actually turn a button to change the frequency when you wanted to listen to a different radio station. That is exactly what you need to do in your mind, whenever you feel frustrated, angry, down, fearful, …turn the button to listen to a different tune.

Feeling those low feelings is an indication you have to change something.

We all want to feel good, we all want to be happy, we all want to be content in life. So, whenever this is not the case, ask yourself:

What thoughts am I thinking right now?

How am I speaking right now?

You’ll notice you are on a lower vibration.

Consciously change your frequency, turn that button in your head.

Go to another vibrational frequency.

Is this make-believe?

Is this sticking your head in the sand?

Is this denying your true feelings?

No!

You do realize how you feel, you do acknowledge these feelings, but then you decide you do not want to dwell on them, as that does not result in solutions, in a change of  the situation.

You decide you want to move forward.

The only way to do that, is by being on a different level.

Climb up slowly.

You can’t expect to feel euphoric right after you feel very sad. That would be ignoring your feelings, that would be a false feeling.

Here’s the emotional guidance scale as described by Abraham-Hicks*:

  1. Joy/Appreciation/Empowerment/Freedom/Love
  2. Passion
  3. Enthusiasm/Eagerness/Happiness
  4. Positive Expectation/Belief
  5. Optimism
  6. Hopefulness
  7. Contentment
  8. Boredom
  9. Pessimism
  10. Frustration/Irritation/Impatience
  11. Overwhelm (feeling overwhelmed)
  12. Disappointment
  13. Doubt
  14. Worry
  15. Blame
  16. Discouragement
  17. Anger
  18. Revenge
  19. Hatred/Rage
  20. Jealousy
  21. Insecurity/Guilt/Unworthiness
  22. Fear/Grief/Desperation/Despair/Powerlessness

Gabby Bernstein**** says:

The closer we are to joy, the more easily we attract what we want.

When you’re in a negative place, high-vibe thoughts won’t resonate.

Those feelings will only feel false.

So instead of trying to leap, we have to gently guide ourselves back to joy by taking one small step at a time.

And that is the work you need to do whenever you want to step away from feeling down, from feeling angry, from feeling anxious, ….

You radiate the vibration of the feeling you are feeling, and you attract more of what vibrates on that frequency. So, in order to feel better, you have to do something that makes you feel a little better. Once you are on that next step on the scale, you’ll feel a little different, a little better, and you will radiate this new energy. Hence you will attract things that also vibrate on that new frequency. And that’s how you can climb step by step out of your feeling down, of your feeling angry, of your feeling frustrated, of your feeling sad.

That’s a process, you can’t jump from feeling powerless to feeling great joy in one leap. You have to go step by step. You have to move towards your goal, your goal of having, of living in, a nicer world, by creating this nicer world yourself.

This may seem an unrealistic goal, but start doing this, start living this way, and you’ll notice you’ll start feeling differently.

Feeling differently, acting differently, will make you radiate this new, positive energy.

Living with as many people possible, on a higher vibrational frequency,

is how we can all create this beautiful, peaceful, loving world, together.
