{"id":7092,"date":"2025-06-26T10:17:02","date_gmt":"2025-06-26T08:17:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lifecoachwomen.be\/time-in-life-endangered-or-endless\/"},"modified":"2025-06-26T10:17:02","modified_gmt":"2025-06-26T08:17:02","slug":"time-in-life-endangered-or-endless","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lifecoachwomen.be\/fr\/time-in-life-endangered-or-endless\/","title":{"rendered":"Time in Life: Endangered or Endless?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-6095 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/lifecoachwomen.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/hourglass-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"498\" height=\"332\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Time<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The meaning we\u2019re giving the word \u2018time\u2019 in our lives is very ambiguous to say the least.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><em>On the one hand:<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re always \u2018doing\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re always busy.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">We never have enough hours in a day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Everything needs to be done right now, today.<\/p>\n<p>We never stop.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">On the other hand<\/span><\/strong>, <\/em>when it comes down to really \u2018life-important\u2019 stuff,<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">we seem to have all the time in the world:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll do it later,<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll change my way of living when I\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>Once this or that, I\u2019ll start doing \u2026.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong><em>Why are we such procrastinators when it comes to living a <\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong><em>healthy, <\/em><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong><em>happy, <\/em><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong><em>simple, <\/em><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong><em>harmonious life?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>If not now, then when?<\/p>\n<p>We can never know what is waiting around the corner, <span style=\"color: #008080;\">we have a false sense of control<\/span>, a false sense of knowing how our life will continue to unfold itself.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">But we have no clue whatsoever. <\/span>We don\u2019t know what\u2019s coming.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">The only thing we can manage is:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong><em>What can I do right now?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong><em>How can I live my life in a way that I won\u2019t have (m)any regrets?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong><em>What tiny steps can I take towards living according to my values, towards living from my Higher Self?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Dr Christine Li,<\/span> a procrastination coach, uses a workable acronym to overcome procrastinating.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>S.M.A.C.K.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">The <strong>S <\/strong>stands for <strong>simplicity. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019ve been reading my blogs on my website or on Medium, my book \u2018Less is Yes!\u2019*, you\u2019ll know that I am all for simplifying your life.<\/p>\n<p>The less stuff you have to organize, to clean, to store, &#8230; the less you\u2019ll stress.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why I advocate: get rid of all the things you don\u2019t use, don\u2019t need.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">But it&rsquo;s not only about stuff.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Simplify<\/span> your overall way of living, and I mean <span style=\"color: #008080;\"><em>every<\/em> aspect of your life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The more you simplify your life, the more space, the more time, the more energy you\u2019ll have, to actually do the things that will make you live your life from your heart, from your Higher Self.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">The <strong>M<\/strong> stands for <strong>mindfulness<\/strong><\/span>. Here again, I can\u2019t but fully agree with her. Part three of my book talks about clearing out your mind, your false beliefs, your old thinking patterns\u2026. and about learning how to steer your thoughts**. Learn to see what is happening right now, right here. Get rid of all thoughts that are not helping you.<\/p>\n<p>Living here, in the moment, in the now, will bring you so much more joy. Don\u2019t wait for something to happen, make it happen yourself. Schedule things you like to do <em>now<\/em>. Enjoy what you&rsquo;re doing. Look around you and notice all the beauty there already is in your life right now.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">The <strong>A<\/strong> stands for <strong>anxiety reduction<\/strong>.<\/span> What triggers your anxiety? What is it that starts this vicious circle in which you spiral down energetically, emotionally? Make a list of what makes you happy and what you want more of in your life, and make a list of what makes you feel anxious and what you want less of in your life. Actively add joyful things, and reduce the things that make you feel anxious in life. Recognize what chain of actions you perform, that gets you to that low vibrational frequency. Break that chain of actions by changing just one thing. Start small and you\u2019ll see that once that circle is broken, you get to choose your next step. And then the next, and before you know it, you\u2019ve created a whole new habit!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">The <strong>C<\/strong> stands for <strong>communicating<\/strong>.<\/span> <span style=\"color: #008080;\">We talk all the time but we are hardly ever communicating<\/span>. Communicating is really engaging in the conversation. Focus on hearing what the other person says, focus on listening, and asking questions to make sure you\u2019ve understood correctly. But <span style=\"color: #008080;\">one also communicates on an energetic level.<\/span> You send out your message on an energetic level too. People feel you and you, when you really tap into that person\u2019s energy field, feel them. <span style=\"color: #008080;\">Therefor: &lsquo;feel\u2019 your words, make sure that what you say and what you feel are the same.<\/span> Otherwise, there\u2019ll be a disharmony, a blockage of energy, a discrepancy, a non-distinct friction in your body that will drain your energy and will only cause confusion and misunderstanding.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Mahatma Gandhi said:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">\u201cHappiness is when <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">what you think, <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">what you say and <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">what you do, <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">are in harmony.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">The<strong> K<\/strong> stands for <strong>kindness<\/strong>.<\/span> This is a virtue I absolutely invite everybody to live by. <span style=\"color: #008080;\">Be kind to others. Be kind to yourself.<\/span> Talk to yourself in the same way you would talk to your best friend. The kinder you are towards yourself, the more you let your power return to yourself. By being kind towards yourself and others, you get your inner power back, you won\u2019t need outer circumstances anymore to feel happy. You\u2019ll know your own values, and you\u2019ll live by them. You\u2019ll feel your own strength, and you\u2019ll have all the tools to live harmoniously. You will be more compassionate, you will feel connected, you&rsquo;ll be shifting to a higher vibrational frequency. And as we all know, you attract what vibrates on your frequency, so vibrate on the frequency of kindness, of love, and you\u2019ll attract kind and loving things.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">My invitation to you all this week is:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">write down what will turn your life into:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>a life you want to live,<\/p>\n<p>a life you feel as being a good life according to your values,<\/p>\n<p>a life you won\u2019t regret,<\/p>\n<p>a life full of love and kindness.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Choose one picture, or one word written down on a piece of paper (or on your bathroom mirror!) that symbolizes this \u2018dream\u2019 life,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">hang it somewhere you will see it every day.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Every time you see this picture, or word,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">reflect for a moment what you\u2019ve been doing to make it happen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Take a pen and paper, and start writing.<\/p>\n<p>Because when writing something down, your brain files it as something important.<\/p>\n<p>It registers you\u2019ve thought about it, you\u2019ve put those thoughts into words inside your head, you\u2019ve put those words down in writing, on paper!<\/p>\n<p>Your brain has sent signals to your muscles to actually write it down.<\/p>\n<p>All those things make it important to your brain, to your mind.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Read that note every evening before you go to bed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Write down the tiny step(s) you\u2019ll take<\/span><\/p>\n<p>the next day, the next week.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Evaluate every month how it\u2019s going.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Here again, be kind to yourself!<\/p>\n<p>Otherwise, you\u2019ll change your vibrational energy and you\u2019ll attract what you <em>don\u2019t <\/em>want.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Build your dream life step by step, day by day, week by week.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Remember, Rome wasn\u2019t built in one day either.<\/p>\n<p>Before you know it, you\u2019ll have created:<\/p>\n<p>a new hobby,<\/p>\n<p>a new healthy habit,<\/p>\n<p>a new life.<\/p>\n<p>The healthier you are, the better you\u2019ll feel, and the easier it\u2019ll become to continue on this path.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you all for reading me, and for supporting me on Medium!
