{"id":6667,"date":"2024-05-16T10:08:40","date_gmt":"2024-05-16T08:08:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lifecoachwomen.be\/happiness-is-accepting-what-is-then-changing-your-attitude-towards-it\/"},"modified":"2024-05-16T10:08:40","modified_gmt":"2024-05-16T08:08:40","slug":"happiness-is-accepting-what-is-then-changing-your-attitude-towards-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lifecoachwomen.be\/fr\/happiness-is-accepting-what-is-then-changing-your-attitude-towards-it\/","title":{"rendered":"Happiness Is = Accepting What Is, Then Changing Your Attitude Towards It."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-6652 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/lifecoachwomen.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/if-you-can-stay-positive-in-a-negative-situation-you-21144743-287x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"401\" height=\"419\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We so often read and hear about acceptance:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>\u201cAccept what you cannot change.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>But that may be easier said than done. Sometimes we <em>feel<\/em> that there is stuff we\u2019ll never be able to accept. But <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">let\u2019s have a look at why accepting can only benefit us.<\/span> Once you realize you\u2019ll be far better off, once you\u2019ve accepted things, then you\u2019ll be <em>willing<\/em> and <em>able<\/em> to do so.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Once you\u2019ve come to that place of acceptance<\/span>, that is where <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">you\u2019ll find the \u2018room<\/span>\u2019 to start looking for solutions, to start moving forward, to start seeing things from another perspective. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The more \u2018room\u2019 we have, the more we can see.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>To create more room, more space, we have to let go of everything that is not helping us anymore, everything that is still \u2018blocking our view\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>I know this is not an easy thing to do, but try it. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">You can do it<\/span> if you want it enough. You have to be motivated enough to accept and to let go, <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">you have to <em>believe <\/em>it\u2019s for your own good.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">First of all<\/span>, you need to <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">realize there are things you will never be able to change or turn back, accept that fact<\/span>, and accept that whatever happened in the past, is something that has already happened and is behind you now.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Let go of those energy drainers<\/span> that are only holding you back. To be able to do this, you have to be aware of them. Mostly, people do not realize what a huge load they keep dragging along, what unnecessary stuff they keep in their \u2018backpack\u2019, and it only weighs them down.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">We put so much energy in:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>holding on to old pains,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>holding on to grudges,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>holding on to old beliefs,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>putting ourselves down,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>criticizing ourselves and others,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>keeping on hating people,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>keeping on pleasing people who do not appreciate us anyway.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Know that <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>the only thing that you get from this negative stuff is:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">loss of energy,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">loss of sleep,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">feeling bad,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">feeling depressed,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">feeling angry,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">feeling lonely,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">feeling unappreciated\u2026<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>As Nelson Mandela used to quote:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>\u201cHate is like drinking poison and hoping the other one will die.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Negative stuff only makes <strong>us<\/strong> sick, and the sad thing is, we hardly ever realize how we got sick in the first place. We are so wrapped up in our story that we lose sight of what actually happened, of what other people actually meant, of what is still happening and what lies in the past, and we make ourselves sicker and sicker.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Stop living in this negative atmosphere <em>you create all by yourself<\/em>.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes, the circumstances, the events, are what they are, but take a good look at what you make of it, at how you think about it, at how you feel about it, and at how you act because of it.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Realize what<\/em><\/span> it is that <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>you are able to change<\/em><\/span>, and <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>accept what is out of your hands.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">You\u2019ll be amazed about how much is up to you, and about how you react to the circumstances.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Take a good look at what surrounds you, in every sense of the word: stuff, people, thoughts, limiting beliefs, \u2026 Make an inventory of what you would like to have less of.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Get rid of all the stuff that drains you<\/strong> <\/span>and I mean stuff in a large perspective:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Objects<\/em> <\/span>you don\u2019t like or need.<\/p>\n<p>All <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>the too much<\/em><\/span> in your house.<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Activities<\/span><\/em> that you do not enjoy (anymore), or have no more time for. If you want a happier, lighter life, you have to learn to say no*, also to the good stuff. <em>You can do anything, but you can\u2019t do everything<\/em><strong>. <\/strong>Choose wisely, keep what you like the most, cancel the other things in your agenda. That way, you\u2019ll fully enjoy what you\u2019re doing without stressing about time, and what else you want to do.<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Food<\/span> that is not helping<\/em> your body to be fit.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Late nights<\/em> <\/span>(sleep **is the most essential thing to feel energized).<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u2018Friends\u2019<\/span><\/em> that are <em>only draining<\/em> your energy.<\/p>\n<p>Your own <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>negative thoughts<\/em>\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Stop living, stop thinking, stop behaving in a way that drowns you.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Start doing things that lift you up.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Meet up with positive people that make you smile,<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Look at life with eyes that <em>want <\/em>to see the positive stuff.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>It is there, believe me, just look for it.<\/p>\n<p>Even if you can\u2019t change \u2018what\u2019 is happening, things you need to do, \u2026change the way you <em>think<\/em> about what is going on, about what you need to do.<\/p>\n<p>There is always a positive side to everything!<\/p>\n<p>Look for it!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Once you <em>think<\/em> differently,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">You\u2019ll feel differently.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Once you<em> feel<\/em> differently,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">You\u2019ll behave differently.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Once you<em> behave<\/em> differently,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">People will react differently and your whole reality will change!!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll be on this higher vibrational frequency, and things will start looking better. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Your life will turn around.<\/span> What you never saw before, will become so clear. You\u2019ll feel completely different even if maybe nothing has actually changed in your life <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">because YOU will have changed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>first step<\/em><\/span> is up to you:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Be willing to let go of your negative attitude towards things, towards people, towards life.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Only YOU can change the way you think.<\/p>\n<p>Do it, start today, this very minute, because it is so worth it!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">By thinking differently and looking at your life from another perspective, you\u2019ll see more clearly <em>what is okay<\/em> and <em>what needs to be changed<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll see <em>t<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">he difference<\/span><\/em> between what is <em>\u2018bad\u2019 because of how you think about it, because of <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">the story your own imagination<\/span><\/em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> <em>has created<\/em><\/span> directed by your ego,<\/p>\n<p>and <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>what really is toxic<\/em><\/span> in your life, what you need to let go of.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Become aware of those<\/span>, become aware of the things that are really toxic, know what you need to ditch, and <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">then let it go with love<\/span>. Say: \u201cI don\u2019t need this in my life anymore, I let this go with love. Let it go, Let it God.\u201d It\u2019s important you do not let go in anger, as that again would create a negative vibe. And that is just the thing we want to less of in our lives.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">My invitation to you all is:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Start by <strong>wanting <\/strong>to see the positive, start with <strong>knowing<em> you<\/em> choose<\/strong> how you look at things.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Mark clearly what is really garbage in your life, and what lifts you up.<\/p>\n<p>The clearer this image becomes, the clearer you\u2019ll see<\/p>\n<p>who you really are,<\/p>\n<p>what you value in life,<\/p>\n<p>what you want more of,<\/p>\n<p>what you want less of.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>The more you empty your \u2018backpack\u2019 of the things that wear you down<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>and decide to only keep:<\/p>\n<p>what is of use,<\/p>\n<p>what helps you,<\/p>\n<p>what you love,<\/p>\n<p>what lifts you up,<\/p>\n<p>what gives you a feeling of energy bubbling through your body:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>the lighter life will become!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Be the guardian of your own energy.<\/p>\n<p>You, and only you, can know what is good for you.<\/p>\n<p>Take care of yourself,<\/p>\n<p>Respect yourself,<\/p>\n<p>Love yourself.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Your to-do for this weekend is:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Take a very close -and honest- look at how you live your life<\/p>\n<p>and <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">put out the garbage!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The more \u2018garbage\u2019 is out,<\/p>\n<p>the more you\u2019ll be able to see all the good stuff!<\/p>\n<p>Treasure all the good stuff.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Let the good stuff shine and let it put a smile on your face!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Try it and you\u2019ll feel the difference!<\/p>\n<p>I wish you a lot of courage to do this.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you all for reading me and for supporting me on Medium!
