{"id":6483,"date":"2023-12-01T09:38:10","date_gmt":"2023-12-01T08:38:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lifecoachwomen.be\/stop-doing-start-being\/"},"modified":"2023-12-01T09:38:10","modified_gmt":"2023-12-01T08:38:10","slug":"stop-doing-start-being","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lifecoachwomen.be\/fr\/stop-doing-start-being\/","title":{"rendered":"Stop Doing, Start Being."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-6095 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/lifecoachwomen.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/hourglass-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"603\" height=\"402\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>There is no time to do it all.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>When we\u2019re constantly \u2018doing\u2019, we forget \u2018being\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Time.<\/p>\n<p>The meaning we\u2019re giving the word \u2018time\u2019 in our lives is very ambiguous to say the least.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><em>On the one hand:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re always \u2018doing\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re always busy.<\/p>\n<p>We never have enough hours in a day to do all that is on our to-do list.<\/p>\n<p>Everything needs to be done right now, today.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><em>On the other hand, <\/em><\/span>when it comes down to really \u2018life-important\u2019 stuff, about &lsquo;being&rsquo;, about living from the heart,<\/p>\n<p>we seem to have all the time in the world:<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll do it later,<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll change my way of living when I\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>Once \u2026 this or that, I\u2019ll start being \u2026.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong><em>Why are we such procrastinators <\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong><em>when it is about living a healthy, happy, simple, harmonious life?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong><em>when it is about &lsquo;being&rsquo; in this world, instead of doing everything that\u2019s on our, or other people\u2019s, to-do list?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>If not now, then when?<\/p>\n<p>We can never know what is waiting around the corner, we have a false sense of control, a false sense of knowing how our life will continue to unfold itself.<\/p>\n<p>But we have no clue whatsoever.<\/p>\n<p>We don\u2019t know what\u2019s coming.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">The only thing we can manage is:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong><em>How can I be right now?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong><em>How can I live my life, right now, in a way that I won\u2019t have (m)any regrets?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong><em>What tiny steps can I take towards living according to my values, towards living from my Higher Self, towards more \u2018being\u2019?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Dr Christine Li, a procrastination coach, uses a workable acronym to overcome procrastinating.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>S.M.A.C.K.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The <span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>S <\/strong><\/span>stands for<span style=\"color: #008080;\"> <strong>simplicity. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019ve been reading my blogs, my book \u2018Less is Yes!, you\u2019ll know that I am all for simplifying your life.<\/p>\n<p>The less you have to stress about, the less you\u2019ll stress.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why I advocate:<\/p>\n<p>get rid of all the things you don\u2019t use, don\u2019t need.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Simplify your overall way of living, and I mean <em>every<\/em> aspect of your life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The more you simplify your life, the more space, the more time, the more energy you\u2019ll have to actually be, to actually do the things that will make you live your life from your heart, from your Higher Self, instead of doing the things society expects from you.<\/p>\n<p>The <span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>M<\/strong> <\/span>stands for <span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>mindfulness<\/strong><\/span>. Here again, I can\u2019t but fully agree with her! Part three of my book* talks about clearing out your mind, your false beliefs, old thinking patterns\u2026. And learning how to steer** your thoughts, here and now.<\/p>\n<p>Living here, in the moment, in the now, BEING, will bring you so much more joy. Don\u2019t wait for something to happen, make it happen yourself. Schedule things, schedule silence, (un)do things <em>now<\/em> that will bring you closer to being you.<\/p>\n<p>The <span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>A<\/strong><\/span> stands for <span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>anxiety reduction<\/strong><\/span>. What triggers your anxiety? What is it that starts this vicious circle in which you spiral down energetically, emotionally? Recognize what chain of actions you perform that gets you to that low vibrational frequency. Break that chain of actions by changing just one thing. Start by taking a deep breath. Take 1 minute of just being: sit down, put your hands on your heart and become quiet. Start small, and you\u2019ll see that once that circle is broken, you get to choose your next step. And then the next and before you know it, you\u2019ve created*** a whole new habit!<\/p>\n<p>The <span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>C<\/strong><\/span> stands for <span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>communicating<\/strong><\/span>. We talk all the time but we are hardly ever communicating. Communicating is, really engaging in the conversation. You can communicate <em><span style=\"color: #008080;\">with words<\/span><\/em> and focus on <span style=\"color: #008080;\"><em>hearing <\/em><\/span>what the other person says, focus on <span style=\"color: #008080;\"><em>listening<\/em> <\/span>and asking questions to make sure you\u2019ve understood correctly. But one can also communicate <em><span style=\"color: #008080;\">on an energetic level<\/span>.<\/em> You can send out a message on an energetic level. People feel you and you, when you really tap into that person\u2019s energy field, feel them. This is possible with someone close by, but also with people far away or in another realm**** even. Therefor when you speak: \u2018feel\u2019 your words, make sure that what you say and what you feel are the same. Otherwise, there\u2019ll be a disharmony, a blockage of energy, a discrepancy, a non-distinct friction***** in your body that will drain your energy.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Mahatma Gandhi<\/span> said:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\">\u201cHappiness is when what you think, what you say and what you do are in harmony.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The<span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong> K<\/strong><\/span> stands for <span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>kindness<\/strong><\/span>. This is a virtue I absolutely invite everybody to live by. Be kind to others. Be kind to yourself. Talk to yourself in the same way you would talk to your best friend. The kinder you are towards yourself, the more you let your power return to yourself. By being kind and getting your inner power back, you won\u2019t need outer circumstances to feel happy. You\u2019ll know your own values, you\u2019ll live by them, you\u2019ll feel your strength and you\u2019ll have all the tools to live harmoniously, to live from your Higher Self, to be compassionate, to feel connected, to shift to a high vibrational frequency, to BE YOU. As we all know, you attract what vibrates on your frequency, so vibrate on the frequency of kindness, of love and you\u2019ll attract kind and loving things.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">My invitation to you all this week is:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>write down what will turn your life into:<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #008080;\">a life you want to live,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #008080;\">a life you feel as being a good life according to your values,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #008080;\">a life you won\u2019t regret,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #008080;\">a life full of love and kindness,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #008080;\">a life of being, instead of doing all the time.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Choose one picture, or one word written down on a piece of paper (or on your bathroom mirror!) that symbolizes this \u2018dream\u2019 life,<\/p>\n<p>hang it somewhere you will see it every day.<\/p>\n<p>Every time you see this picture, or word,<\/p>\n<p>reflect for a moment what you\u2019ve been (not) doing to make it happen.<\/p>\n<p>Take a pen and paper and start writing. <span style=\"color: #008080;\">Write down how you can come closer to \u2018being\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Write it down because your brain files written words as something important because:<\/p>\n<p>you\u2019ve thought about it,<\/p>\n<p>you\u2019ve put those thoughts into words, inside your head,<\/p>\n<p>you\u2019ve put those words down in writing, on paper!<\/p>\n<p>Your brain has sent signals to your muscles to actually write it down.<\/p>\n<p>All this makes it important to your brain, to your mind, to you.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Read that note every evening before you go to bed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Then write down the tiny step(s) you\u2019ll take<\/span><\/p>\n<p>the next day, the next week.<\/p>\n<p>Evaluate every month how it\u2019s going.<\/p>\n<p>Here again,<\/p>\n<p>be kind to yourself!<\/p>\n<p>Otherwise, if you\u2019re harsh to yourself, you\u2019ll change your vibrational energy and you\u2019ll attract what you <em>don\u2019t <\/em>want.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Build you dream life<\/span><\/p>\n<p>step by step,<\/p>\n<p>day by day,<\/p>\n<p>week by week.<\/p>\n<p>Remember, Rome wasn\u2019t built in one day either.<\/p>\n<p>Before you know it,<\/p>\n<p>you\u2019ll have created a new life, a life of more \u2018being\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Good luck!!<\/p>\n<p>and<\/p>\n<p>Enjoy!!<\/p>\n<p>Thank you all for reading me and for supporting me on Medium!
