{"id":6899,"date":"2024-12-19T17:29:28","date_gmt":"2024-12-19T16:29:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lifecoachwomen.be\/if-youre-down-stop-digging\/"},"modified":"2024-12-19T17:29:28","modified_gmt":"2024-12-19T16:29:28","slug":"if-youre-down-stop-digging","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lifecoachwomen.be\/en\/if-youre-down-stop-digging\/","title":{"rendered":"If You\u2019re Down, Stop Digging."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-6607 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/lifecoachwomen.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/face-sunshine-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"415\" height=\"415\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I once heard someone say this, and I thought, yes, I completely agree.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>If you\u2019re down, stop digging deeper. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>Look up, instead of down.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Look at how you want to feel,<\/span> instead of exploring all this negativity deeper and deeper. You\u2019re still wallowing in this darkness when you\u2019re looking down. This won\u2019t cheer you up, because you\u2019ll still be on that lowest vibrational* frequency.<\/p>\n<p>I know people often want to know, exactly where their negativity originated.\u00a0 But why? Honestly, will that make a lot of difference?<\/p>\n<p>People like to understand, where certain feelings come from.<\/p>\n<p>I get that, but does that change the outcome?<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">I believe that, in the first place, you need to learn how to turn those feelings, that negativity, around into first neutral, and then later on, into positive feelings.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I am not sure that, knowing exactly where things come from, is always necessary. If you know, okay, maybe it will help you in your change to feel better, but I am not convinced.<\/p>\n<p>What if you never find out what caused this \u2018feeling down\u2019, does this mean you\u2019ll never be able to feel good?<\/p>\n<p>No, I don\u2019t believe this. I am convinced that, <strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">deciding you want to feel better<\/span><\/strong>, <strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">taking steps towards changing your behavior<\/span><\/strong>, are the <strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">most important tools<\/span><\/strong> you can use for turning negativity into positivity. \u00a0Willing to change and taking action.<\/p>\n<p>I have already talked in previous articles, about the scale of emotions, where Esther and Jerry Hicks classify emotions according to their vibrational frequencies. I find this a very helpful tool in understanding how you can evolve from, really low vibrational feelings to feeling better, and to even feel great again.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the emotional guidance scale as described by Abraham-Hicks:<a href=\"https:\/\/gabbybernstein.com\/freemeditations\"><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Joy\/Appreciation\/Empowerment\/Freedom\/Love<\/li>\n<li>Passion<\/li>\n<li>Enthusiasm\/Eagerness\/Happiness<\/li>\n<li>Positive Expectation\/Belief<\/li>\n<li>Optimism<\/li>\n<li>Hopefulness<\/li>\n<li>Contentment<\/li>\n<li>Boredom<\/li>\n<li>Pessimism<\/li>\n<li>Frustration\/Irritation\/Impatience<\/li>\n<li>Overwhelm (feeling overwhelmed)<\/li>\n<li>Disappointment<\/li>\n<li>Doubt<\/li>\n<li>Worry<\/li>\n<li>Blame<\/li>\n<li>Discouragement<\/li>\n<li>Anger<\/li>\n<li>Revenge<\/li>\n<li>Hatred\/Rage<\/li>\n<li>Jealousy<\/li>\n<li>Insecurity\/Guilt\/Unworthiness<\/li>\n<li>Fear\/Grief\/Desperation\/Despair\/Powerlessness<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Gabby Bernstein** says:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong><em>The closer we are to joy, <\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong><em>the more easily we attract what we want.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><em>When you\u2019re in a negative place, high-vibe thoughts won\u2019t resonate. They\u2019ll just feel false. So instead of trying to leap, we have to gently guide ourselves back to joy by taking one small step at a time.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>And that is the work you need to do whenever you want to step away from feeling down, from feeling angry, from feeling anxious, \u2026.<\/p>\n<p>You radiate the vibration of the feeling you are feeling, and you attract more of what vibrates on that frequency. So, <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>in order to feel better, you have to do something that makes you feel a little better. <\/strong><\/span>Once you are on that next step on the scale, you&#8217;ll feel a little different, a little better, and you radiate this new energy. <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Hence you attract things that also vibrate on that new frequency. And <strong>that\u2019s how you can climb step by step out of your \u2018feeling down\u2019. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s a process, you can\u2019t jump from feeling powerless to feeling great joy in one leap. You have to go step by step. You have to move towards your goal.<\/p>\n<p>Even if you slip along the road, do not worry, you just pick up from where you slipped, and climb back up again.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>Do we need to feel happy and upbeat all the time?<\/strong> No, absolutely not.<\/span> We are only human. Feeling off once in a while, having a bad day once in a while, is okay. You are allowed to feel that way too.<span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"> But <strong>always keep in mind how you want to feel. Don\u2019t linger in that negativity. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Acknowledge<\/span> the feeling,<span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"> feel<\/span> the feeling, but then, take a <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">deep breath<\/span> and <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">say, okay, now I move on, this is not where I want to stay.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>No matter where it came from, <strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">decide it\u2019s not how you want to feel.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Take action,<\/span><\/strong> even if it\u2019s only a tiny little step, but take it.<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Do things that give you joy.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Be grateful.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Help other people.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Celebrate every step you move up on the scale.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>It sounds simple, but I know it\u2019s not always easy to do.
