We want to feel good about ourselves, we want to feel comfortable in our life, we want to live a life without having to deal with too much turbulence all the time.<\/p>\n<p>How can we achieve that when all we <em>seem<\/em> to encounter is, roadblocks here, hick-ups there.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Let\u2019s start small, let\u2019s start with very simple things.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">First of all, DECIDE you want to feel good today<\/span>,<span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"> DECIDE you want to have a nice day today<\/span>. This may seem trivial but it\u2019s the first step to feeling good. Don\u2019t look too far into the future. Live now, today, as this is the only time you can live. All you can do, is right here, right now.<\/p>\n<p>When you wake up, take a <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">DEEP BREATH<\/span> and <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">SAY<\/span> to yourself, <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">\u2018<strong>This is going to be a fine day\u2019<\/strong><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">SMILE<\/span> when you say this. <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">BELIEVE<\/span> it.<\/p>\n<p>Get out of bed and look forward to having a shower,<span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"> BE present<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">ENJOY<\/span> the fresh-smelling soap, the hot water and enjoy this very moment before the hustle and bustle of the day starts. This way you are already on the vibrational frequency of feeling good*.<\/p>\n<p>Take your time to have some breakfast, some coffee, some tea, whatever you like to have before you go to work.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">KEEP repeating to yourself:<\/span> \u201cThis is going to be a fine day\u201d, keep that smile on your lips and look around you with a positive mindset. Keep your mental muscle** <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><strong>perception<\/strong><\/span> very active today. Whenever there is something that would set you off into a negative, down spiral, stop yourself and ask:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">\u2018<\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">What else is possible here?\u2019<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">\u2018How can I look differently at this?\u2019<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">\u2018Is, how I perceive this situation, absolutely true?\u2019<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">USE<\/span> your 2<sup>nd<\/sup> mental muscle**, <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><strong>imagination<\/strong><\/span>, to create other possible versions of what is happening here. This is crucial if you want to have a fine day. Whatever comes your way, stop and <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">look at it from different angles and choose<\/span> a version that makes you feel good. Is this bending the truth? What is the absolute truth? Does it even exist? Everyone has his\/her version of the truth. So, no, choosing a way to look at things, that makes you feel good is not being na\u00efve, it\u2019s called self-care, self-love, and it\u2019s beneficial for the people around you too as you don\u2019t throw a fit whenever you <em>think<\/em> something is done to harm you. Choosing to feel good, is not being in denial, it\u2019s choosing to keep the faith that, even if there is a setback in your life, this too shall pass. It\u2019s choosing to live in the moment, to be present here and now, and not to get lost in all the \u2018what if\u2019s\u2019, in all the \u2018worst-case scenarios\u2019, in all the doom-and gloom.<\/p>\n<p>As dr. Wayne Dyer said:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><strong>\u201cWhen you change, the way you look at things,<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><strong>the things you look at, change.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Go through your day, <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">believing<\/span> the world is a beautiful place.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Focus<\/span> on all the beauty, on all that puts a smile on your face.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Connect<\/span> with people that make you feel appreciated.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Go into nature<\/span> and feel the connection.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Breathe<\/span>, close your eyes and relax for a moment.<\/p>\n<p>Find a moment to put your hands on your heart and <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">(re-)connect with your Inner Self, your True Self.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>These are all very simple things but don\u2019t underestimate them. <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">They lead you towards having a simple, beautiful life.<\/span> Keep doing all of these things until they have become your way of being, your way of looking at the world and the people around you.<\/p>\n<p>The more you practice, the easier it becomes.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Once you have the habit of always looking for the good in people, in situations, all will seem so much easier, so much simpler, and feeling good will have become a natural thing.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When you read my blogs, you\u2019ll see that there are a number of things that will enable this way of living, such as meditating, writing in a gratitude journal, \u2026. Also living a healthy lifestyle will enhance this \u2018feeling good\u2019 as we all know that when we\u2019re rested, when we\u2019re exercising, when we eat and drink healthy stuff, \u2026 feeling good comes as a natural result of all this.<\/p>\n<p>But as I said in the title, life can be so simple, if only we want it to be. That is why I suggest, you start with simple, but very effective changes to avoid getting even more overwhelmed than you probably already are right now.<\/p>\n<p>My invitation to you all is:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><strong>Decide <\/strong><\/span>you want to feel good.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Repeat<\/span> <\/strong>that intention as your mantra: <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">\u2018Life is good, I feel good\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Start simple, don\u2019t overdo it.<\/span><\/strong> No subscribing to all kinds of classes that, indeed could help you feel good, but that maybe will put even more pressure on you.<\/p>\n<p>No huge, life-transforming actions (yet).<\/p>\n<p>Just decide you want to feel good, <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><strong>breathe, be present<\/strong>. <strong>Train your mind<\/strong><\/span> to look at things from different angles and to <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><strong>choose <\/strong><\/span>the one that makes you feel peaceful and relaxed.<\/p>\n<p>When you feel your mind is already changing its default modus into seeing things from a positive point of view, then you can decide whether you want to add more stuff in order to have an even more joyful, loving and peaceful life. But don\u2019t overdo it. Start small. Give your mind time to change. And remember, every progress is progress! Enjoy every little victory! Whenever you stumble, whenever you had a knee-jerk reaction, just acknowledge that this is not what you want anymore, forgive yourself and move on. The more you practice, the easier it\u2019ll get.
