{"id":6171,"date":"2023-02-23T16:15:12","date_gmt":"2023-02-23T15:15:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lifecoachwomen.be\/why-wait-to-be-happy\/"},"modified":"2023-02-23T16:15:12","modified_gmt":"2023-02-23T15:15:12","slug":"why-wait-to-be-happy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lifecoachwomen.be\/en\/why-wait-to-be-happy\/","title":{"rendered":"Why Wait to Be Happy?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-6166 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/lifecoachwomen.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/energetic-person-300x218.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"436\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">so often<\/span><\/strong> hear people say, or maybe you are saying this too: <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">I\u2019ll be happy, I\u2019ll be more relaxed once \u2026<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">The house is finished,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Things settle down,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">The economic situation has improved,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">The mortgage is paid off,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">The kids have graduated,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">I have more money,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">I have more time,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">I am retired, &#8230;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>All external factors that indeed can be a reason for you to stress out, to be frustrated. But all those things are facts of life, there is no way around it. The only thing you get to decide is HOW you look at it, HOW you deal with everyday life situations.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>If you wait until all is well, you\u2019ll have missed out on life entirely<\/strong><\/span> because there will always be some, or more, external factors that you wished were different.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>\u201cEgo says: Once everything falls into place, I\u2019ll feel peace.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Spirit says: Find your peace, and everything will fall into place.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Marianne Williamson<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Decide now<\/strong><\/span> to start listening to your spirit, your soul, your Higher Self and tell the ego, aka your Protective Self, that all is well, all is as it should be, that this is life and that there is no need to see everything and everyone as potentially dangerous, as something you need to defend yourself against. <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Look at the good<\/strong> <\/span>in situations, look at what binds us instead of what is dividing us.<\/p>\n<p>The more we<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"> <strong>see and accept<\/strong><\/span> that life is this mixture<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>of good days and bad days,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>of joy and sadness,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>of saying Hi and saying Bye,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>of winnings and losses,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>of good health and sickness,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>of spectacular experiences and dull chores, \u2026<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>the easier it will be to find your peace and happiness in life.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>I highly recommend listening to the meditation, on the Insight Timer app, of <em>Annemaree Rowley <\/em>called \u2018Gratitude\u2019. She describes so beautifully how being grateful and how being willing and being eager to see the beauty in our daily lives, makes us feel happy, joyful and peaceful.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t wait to be at peace with your life, don\u2019t wait to be happy, don\u2019t wait to feel joy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>THIS is life, live it NOW<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Practice gratitude<\/strong><\/span> and you\u2019ll feel how different you\u2019ll start experiencing your life. Practice every day until your brain has made those new connections. When we repeat a thought, a behavior, over and over again for at least a period of 3 months, you\u2019ll notice a change in your mindset, in your behavior. You\u2019ll have replaced old ways of thinking, of acting, with new ones. The more you keep practicing the more it\u2019ll become your new MO, your new automatic response to life. Listen to the gratitude meditation <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>daily<\/strong><\/span>, write every night in your gratitude journal*. Note at least 3 things you are grateful for, things that made you smile, things that warmed your heart. The more you practice silence, gratitude, \u2026 the more your mind quiets down, the more you\u2019ll be able to take a deep breath, whenever you would normally get on your high horse, and react from a calm place. The calmer you are, the less you\u2019ll react from your ego, and the better you\u2019ll see the situation for what it is, rather than as a personal attack. Keep on practicing and you\u2019ll start acting and reacting to all in life in a very different way.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>You\u2019ll feel frustration turning in to compassion.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>You\u2019ll start handling things with a more peaceful mind.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>You\u2019ll start under-reacting where you used to over-react.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>You\u2019ll feel it becomes easier to see things from a different point of view.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>You\u2019ll see the good in people.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>You\u2019ll start appreciating the little things.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Life will feel lighter, brighter and easier<\/strong><\/span> although no external factors have changed.<\/p>\n<p>Not only will you be more peaceful, <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>you\u2019ll start attracting* more and more good stuff too. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u2018Suddenly\u2019 your life will become better on so many levels:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>Because you worry less, you\u2019ll sleep better.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>Because you sleep better, you\u2019ll feel more energy.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>Because you feel more energy, you\u2019ll be in a better mood.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>Because you are in a better mood, you\u2019ll find solutions to \u2018problems\u2019 more easily.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>Because you solve more problems, you\u2019ll feel lighter.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>Because you feel lighter, you\u2019ll feel happier.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>Because you feel happier, you\u2019ll radiate this joy and warmth onto your environment<\/em> <em>and <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Life will feel so much better!<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Decide to live your happy life now!<\/strong><\/span> There is no other time to live it, as the past is gone and the future is not here yet.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you all for reading me and for supporting me on Medium!
