What if we would take a little break?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-6107 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/lifecoachwomen.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/genieten--300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"653\" height=\"435\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As this last month of the year seems to invite us all to catch up on all that we haven\u2019t done yet, I think it\u2019s a good moment to rethink the concept of to-do lists.<\/p>\n<p>I absolutely adore this saying of Courtney Carver*:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>\u201cIf catching up would work, we\u2019d all be caught up by now.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We never get it all done, there is always more on our to-do list. And even if we have finished the current list, there is already a new one popping up in our head. And that is exhausting.<\/p>\n<p>Why don\u2019t we take a little break from our never-ending rat race? Just one day, this month, this week, maybe tomorrow. Yes, you have the permission to take one day off. The world will keep spinning, nobody will die because of it, just do it. <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>One day of no to-do lists<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>Take one day off to:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><em>Just breathe,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><em>Just be,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><em>Read a good book,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><em>Play with your kids,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><em>Walk your dog,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><em>Cuddle with your cat,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><em>Just sit by the open fire,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><em>\u2026.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><em>do whatever brings you peace of mind.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll feel the calm coming over you, you\u2019ll feel as if you have more space around you, as if you can breathe more easily. Your mind will be more peaceful and there will be room for ideas, for reflecting, for seeing what is around you. You\u2019ll be able to feel more gratitude, more appreciation. And that feeling will make you feel happier as you realize all the beautiful things you have in your life.<\/p>\n<p>The more we race through life, the more we take everything for granted, the less we realize what gems are present every day in our lives, and the more we get exhausted, depressed, frustrated and angry.<\/p>\n<p>This blog is <strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">a<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">n invitation to all of you:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">to do less,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">to do no chores for one day,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">to treat yourself with silence, calm, rest and<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">to enjoy just being.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>Plan this in your agenda and honor your commitment to yourself<\/strong><\/span>. Say no to invitations for that day. No outer commitments, no social media, no catching up on anything, just committing to yourself <strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">to take a day of restfulness, of rejuvenating your body and soul.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It will do you a world of good, especially in this hectic time of year. And <strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">afterwards:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">You\u2019ll be more focused.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">You\u2019ll be better rested.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">You\u2019ll be in a better mood.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">You\u2019ll see solutions as there is now room in your mind.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">You\u2019ll be less judging.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">You\u2019ll be more tolerant.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">And all of that will make you feel a lot happier, and you\u2019ll be radiating this joy.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The more you are on a high vibrational frequency, the more you\u2019ll attract** things that also vibrate on that same frequency.<\/p>\n<p>You see, <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>nothing but positive effects as a result from taking a day off now and then.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Plan your first day off now!<\/p>\n<p>At first, it\u2019ll take some adjusting your mindset, as we were taught that doing nothing, as in doing no chores or not working, was being lazy, and we were told over and over again that nothing good could ever come from laziness.<\/p>\n<p>But taking one day off is not being lazy, it is making sure you do not get depleted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>\u201cYou can\u2019t pour from an empty cup.\u2019<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>A short blog this week so you have time to take your agenda and block your day of self care!<\/p>\n<p>Thank you all for reading me and for supporting me on Medium!
